Import / export teachers

It is easy to create a lot of teacher accounts quicly through the CSV (comma separated value) import system.  To import teachers in mass, follow these steps.

1. Open up Excel and create a file with First Name, Last Name, Email, Password (optional). The first row will have header names and will be ignored. Save this file as a comma separaed value list (.CSV extension).

Step 1 - Create a CSV file with headers.

2. Log in to the teachers administration, click on the "Start Menu" and select "Teachers".

Step 2 - Click on start menu and select teachers.

3. Near the bottom left click on CSV Import.

Step 3 - Click on csv import.

4. In the column to the right click on "Choose File".  You can download a sample file to learn how to format it, if you need to.

Step 4 - Click on choose file.

5. Select the CSV file from your harddrive and click "Open".  Note: You will only be able to select files with a .CSV extension.

Step 5 - Click on the csv file on your hard drive. Click open.

6. Click on "Upload and Import".

Step 6 - Click on upload and import button.

7. A message will appear if the file upload is successful. It will also show you an error message with directions on how to fix any file that fails to import.

Step 7 - Import success or failure message displayed.

8. Newly imported teachers will now be shown in the left column.
